Visitor from Venus
During a silent winter evening, in a sky scattered with stars, something utterly beyond human thought floated peacefully into the quiet Smiljan village in Croatia. A being from another planet, intrigued about human life decided to assume a young man's form and named himself Nikola.
Nikola walked the earth with a gentle, soft wonder. His face bore no signs of concern, his voice no shake of fear. He walked the world as a painter who examines a blank canvas, and in the process, found a village girl named Klara.Klara was mesmerized by the presence of Nikola. His gaze was free from prejudice, his speech free from judgement, and his deeds neither pride nor inferiority. To her, he was almost. too perfect. With days becoming weeks, they walked for hours amidst the snow-clad hills, talking about the world and more.
One evening, by the ice-river, Nikola turned to her and spoke softly, saying:
"In my world, we do not perceive division as you do here. There are no borders, no colors of skin, no beliefs, no fear. Here, I have learned something: you are all the same. Only your egos, beliefs, and fears divide you."
Klara stared at him, heavy-hearted and silent. In his perfection, she perceived distance. His absence of fear, his lack of attachment to belief... it all suddenly seemed too foreign.
A few days after, she abandoned him, her human heart yearning for the presence of someone imperfect, someone broken, someone. human.

Nikola was alone on the hill, looking up at the stars. He had learned his most valuable lesson on Earth:
"Humans are all same. Only egos, beliefs, and fears separate them."And so, he went back to the sky, his human heart was a little heavier.
