Time to Dream
In the town of Coventry in England, known for its history in automobiles, lived Ayaan, a 16-year-old boy obsessed with cars. While other students read textbooks, Ayaan sketched futuristic vehicles in the margins. While teachers explained Newton’s laws, he was browsing car engine videos on his phone under the desk. Every evening, instead of homework, he spent hours scrolling through concept car designs on his mobile phone.
His parents were exasperated. “You’re wasting your future,” they would scold. “You’ll never get anywhere watching your mobile phone all the time!” His teachers echoed the concern. “If only he put this much attenton into studies…”
But Ayaan didn’t stop. He knew every curve of an Aston Martin, every bolt inside a Ferrari. At night, he designed his own cars on free sketch apps in his phone with cracked display screen. "One day," he whispered to himself, "the world will drive my dreams."
Years passed. Ayaan somehow scraped through school, but got into a small design institution with one glowing recommendation from a professor who believed in his passion. There, he stunned everyone with his ability to reimagine vehicles with both beauty and efficiency.
At 26, a leading European car company unveiled their new electric concept car, The Whisper. It was sleek, revolutionary—and designed by none other than Ayaan.
At the press conference, when asked about his journey, he smiled and said,
“I didn’t waste time. I just spent it on what I loved—before the world thought it was useful.”
Moral:
Time spent on what you truly love, even if misunderstood, is never wasted.
