Dream show the Way
A devotee once stood at a difficult turning point in his life. He had received an offer to move to a distant town for work. It promised money and comfort—but it meant leaving behind his aging parents.
If he stayed, he would struggle financially.
If he left, his heart felt heavy.
Unable to decide, he went to Sai Baba.
“Baba, tell me what to do,” he pleaded.
Baba listened… but said nothing.
The devotee waited the whole day.
Others came and went. Baba spoke to them, smiled, even joked—but to him, there was only silence.
Disappointed, he returned home.
That night, his thoughts kept circling. Duty… ambition… fear… guilt… Exhausted, he finally fell asleep.
In his dream, Baba appeared—calm, as always. He did not speak. He simply pointed… not outward, but toward a small house—one that looked just like his own.
Then he looked at the devotee, as if to say, “You already know.”
The devotee woke up suddenly. For the first time in many days, his mind was quiet. The answer was clear.
He chose to stay.
Years later, he would say—
“It was not the dream that guided me… it was the silence that prepared me to see.”
Moral:
Clarity comes when the noise within settles.
The answer you seek is often already within you. Silence helps you hear it.
