Melted Questions
A learned man once came to Shirdi, carrying many questions. He had read scriptures, debated ideas, and gathered knowledge—but peace had always remained just out of reach.
He approached Sai Baba with confidence.
“I have come to ask you something,” he said.
Baba looked at him briefly, then turned away, speaking to others, feeding a dog, adjusting the fire. Hours passed. The man waited, growing restless.
Why won’t he answer me?” he thought.
By evening, his questions began to lose their sharpness. By night, they felt strangely distant.
The next morning, he stood again before Baba. This time, Baba simply looked into his eyes. There were no words. But something inside the man softened… and then fell silent.
He bowed and left, not because he had received answers, but because he no longer needed them.
Moral
When the mind becomes still, questions dissolve on their own.
Not every problem needs an answer. Some need quiet.
